DIVING HIGHLIGHTS & BUCKET LIST DIVE SITES

 Thistlegorm Wreck

The famous SS Thistlegorm World War II wreck is one of the highlights of this cruise.  The SS Thistlegorm sunk in 1941, having been bombed by the Germans while on a mission to deliver a cargo of trucks, motor bikes, ammunition and war materials to the British troops in North America.

 Ras Mohammed National Park

Ras Mohammed has been described as one of the best diving sites in the world.  Located at the tip of Sinai, famous for its breath-taking walls rich in soft and fan corals and populated with huge shoals of fish.  Nutrient-rich sediments from the Golf of Aqaba attract many fish species and also feed the coral polyps creating a paradise for divers.

 Abu Nuhas Wrecks

Dive the famous wrecks of Abu Nuhas, the Ships Graveyard.  This reef lies close to the ship-lane toward the Suez Canal and has claimed more ships than any other in the Red Sea.  The wrecks are very scenic, covered in corals and they are fantastic for photography, especially the Carnatic, having sunk in 1869.

Brother Islands (Big & Small Brother)

One day is spent diving the Brother Islands, two undersea mountains rising from the depths, about 100 kilometers off-shore.  Known for its magnificent wall diving and shark sightings, the islands are now strictly controlled and the number of divers is limited – a definite must on any southern Red Sea diving itinerary!

 The Aida II

An Egyptian supply vessel and the Numidia, a cargo ship, lie on the walls of the Big Brother and if the current allows, can be explored on this safari.

Sea Serpent Glory’s two sundecks, one partially shaded, are very spacious and generously furnished with mattresses and cushions, ideal for taking a nap between dives or enjoying the sunset.  The dive racks are arranged along the walls of the teak diving platform which makes kitting up and entering the water very easy for the divers as there is no need to walk down any stairs with full gear.
