Where is SOCORRO ISLAND?
This Archipelago is a group of four volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, known for its' unique ecosystem. The islands lie 250 miles off Baja, Mexico's southern shore. This destination can only be dived by a liveaboard dive vessel. It takes approximately 26-28 hours one way to reach the islands.

Upper Deck Cabins 1-6: Each cabin has 2 extra-large twin beds that are perpendicular to each other to maximize cabin space. Upper Deck Cabins 7-8: These cabins are larger & have 1 queen bed & 1 extra-large twin bed. (The upper deck cabins have a patio area for relaxation) Lower Deck Cabins 9-10: These cabins are extra-large & have 2 queen beds. Introducing the Quino del Mar, a brand-new vessel making its debut in July 2025. Designed for comfort & adventure, this state-of-the-art liveaboard accommodates 20 guests in 10 private staterooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom & cozy accommodations for two. The main deck boasts a spacious dining room, galley & large salon for relaxation. Dive alongside majestic giant manta rays and playful bottlenose dolphins, and encounter up to eight shark species, including awe-inspiring schools of hammerheads. In Mexico, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of type A and type B are used - this is the same as outlets in USA. The standard voltage is 110V. It is advisable to take an adaptor.STAYING IN CONTACT
Limited Wi-Fi available is for purchase at $50. This provides full access to the internet within a 10-mile radius of the island and San Jose del Cabo. It is not available during the open ocean crossing.WHAT PAYMENT METHOD IS ACCEPTED
Mexico Liveaboards accepts US Dollars, Euros, Pesos, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Credit Cards. They do not charge a fee for credit card use.WHAT TO BRING
It is advisable to bring a light jersey, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, travel adaptor, & chargers for electronic devices.
DIVING
- All divers are required to be open-water certified. We strongly advise a minimum of 50 logged dives for Socorro / Revillagigedo.
- Wetsuit: 3mm are suitable for most of the dive sites.
- Certification must be presented as well as a log book and dive insurance.
- Safety: Every diver needs to be equipped with a diving computer, SMB and drop line which is to be deployed at the end of each drift dive after completing the safety stop.
- Alcohol Consumption: If alcohol is consumed in between dives by an individual then they will be required to refrain from diving for the remainder of the day.
- Flying After Diving: A minimum surface interval of 18 hours must be allowed prior to flying or going to altitude.
- Decompression Chamber: The nearest chamber is the SSS Hyperbaric Chamber Network in Cabo San Lucas.
